PAUL WELLER ha registrato, la scorsa estate, un piccolo show, live nei suoi studi di registrazione Black Barn Studios, accompagnato dall'abituale band e Jacko Peake ai fiati.

MID-SÖMMER MUSIK è stato trasmesso (a pagamento, scelta discutibile) pochi giorni fa in streaming.

Dodici brani tratti dalla recente produzione e TRE INEDITI destinati al nuovo album, previsto per il 2021.
Set spettacolare, band affiatatissima e che spesso improvvisa, Paul in splendida forma vocale, Andy Crofts al basso con un suono di stampo "Abbey Road", Jacko Peake stupendo con vari sax, clarinetto, flauto, Steve Cardock superlativo.

Ogni brano introdotto da brevi intro da parte di Paul a cui si uniscono immagini del backstage (con tanto di toppe e spille mod e soul, foto dei Beatles, bandiera del Chelsea).

Brani da "On sunset" (inclusa "Failed" disponibile solo nell'edizione giapponese) e "True meanings" e i tre inediti caratterizzati da un grande tiro soul rock ("Moving canvas" e "Testify") e da un sentita ballata pianistica ("Still glides the stream").

Emozionante, freschissimo, pulsante, sensazionale.
